Did Your Results Live Up to Your Expectations?

It’s important to keep good records of a goal or project’s progress so you can properly evaluate it when the results are in and the project is completed.  Your records will be your measuring tools.

The action plans implemented in your project outline should have solved problems, overcome obstacles and become predictable as time went on. If that didn’t happen, it’s time to identify what did happen to delay or make the project fail or fall short of what you planned for.

Successful action plans provide noticeable results that should lead to further successes and more confidence on your part.  You will see  that you were effective in planning goals and reaching the end of a successful process.

Even if the project wasn’t completely successful, you’ll gain valuable information when you examine the results. This information can help you build your business, re-think some of your actions or even go back to the drawing board.

It’s difficult to measure the results of a project unless you can evaluate the results.   Some problems within the project can be solved by creating an action plan that addresses the particular problem.

Any plan or project (unless it’s new) can be compared to previous action plan results. For example, if you’re a marketer and your plan is to gain three followers per week, you can compare the results to the other plans you put into action to gain followers.

When the results lived up to or exceeded your expectations, you should still take a look at what you did to get those results. Could the same plan work with other projects you may have?

If one portion of the plan failed miserably while another exceeded all your expectations, try to find the reason for the failed portion. If you did it yourself, perhaps you should outsource that portion to more knowledgeable people.

Whatever you decide to do about future projects, you’ll be glad you tracked the process and ended up with direct ways that you can improve the execution of them in the future. It works the same in life as it does in business – see if your results live up to your expectations when you try to change something and implement a plan to alter your course.

A Strategy Helps You Achieve Goals Faster

Rather than misusing time and struggling to reach your goals, it’s best to develop a strategy that will help you move quickly from one task to another.  Many of us set goals and have intentions of completing them - only to have them fall through mid-flight. This may be because enthusiasm for the project fails or you’ve come to a standstill for some other reason.  One strategy that will keep you moving from one goal to the next, is to be persistent. You have to refuse to give up  even when life becomes a bit difficult or you find yourself bored with the process. Another good strategy for achieving goals faster, is to never limit yourself or what you’re capable of achieving. When you tell yourself that you can’t accomplish something, you have to get rid of the negative thoughts. Negative thoughts have killed many good ideas and intentions. Do what it takes to keep yourself motivated and moving forward, by spending more time developing a strategy that will guarantee success. Mapping out a

Thinking Strategically

To think strategically means to see and to be able to understand the bigger picture of where you need to go. Then you need to take action to achieve the associated goals.  Strategic thinkers often ask themselves key questions like: Where am I now? Where do I want to be? How will I get there?  Strategic thinking is a powerful tool in leadership.  When applied it gives awareness and understanding needed for long-term success. Strategic thinking is also a powerful tool to use in your personal life for creating the path you want to take and build the life you want to live.  Strategic Thinking Is not only about decision making. It’s about spending time thinking, listening, and observing. It’s not about gut feelings alone. Strategic thinkers and leaders are methodical, driven by data to help them make informed decisions. They use observation of trends, asking the right questions and seeking context.  It is not instant gratification of short-term gains. Strategic thinkers plan and execute a s
